Trigal, is a love triangle between two cousins who are on the edge of puberty. They both fall in love with an older man, a conflict that takes places as they discover their sexuality and involves family problems, repressed and immature desires, and emotional ignorance. Anabel Caso's feature debut is a story based on the director's youth, her own discovery, and the changes she experienced upon entering puberty. "It talks about women, about our experiences, shortcomings, loneliness, about how we approach the universe of sexuality and the limits of consent when one person is more vulnerable than another," shared Anabel Caso. Anabel recounted how wonderful it was to work on this project with a close-knit and talented team that allowed Trigal to be present at the Ibero-American Film Co-Production Meeting, the 2013 Guadalajara International Film Festival, and the 2014 Guanajuato International Film Festival, among others. “In the end all made a joint construction […] we end up doing a new work and that is the wonder of cinema,” added Anabel, also director of the short film Sofía (2016)
