The filmmakers addressed the challenge of finding the resources, human as well as material, to realize their projects. Gabriel Pontones said on the subject: “It’s a lot of suffering to make a short; you have to work around others’ schedules, since actors aren’t paid (nor, in my case, are photographers); you have to wait until they have free time, since they may have other roles, onstage, etcetera.” Sergio Tovar added in conclusion: “You have to know how to ask for favors, and return them. You have to make the project fit your means, use your imagination, negotiate with yourself.”
