The presentation was attended by Pedro Colorado, director of marketing and communication at Salvatore Ferragamo; Daniela Michel, founder and director of FICM; and Alejandro Ramírez, president of the festival, all there to present the film.

Before the screening of the documentary began, Michel shared with the audience a bit of Ferragamo's history.

Salvatore Ferragamo began his career making shoes at about the same time Hollywood cinema began. He greatly revolutionized the manufacture of shoes at a technical level and was characterized by understanding the anatomy of the foot, the footprint, and the materials of shoes needed. He came to have great success in Hollywood, creating shoes for great personalities within the world of cinema and building an empire.

The documentary is set in the early 20th century when Italian shoemaker Salvatore Ferragamo sailed from Naples to the United States in search of a better life. Settling in Southern California, he became a notorious shoemaker in Hollywood during the silent film era. In 1927, he returned to Italy and founded his namesake luxury brand in Florence.

“This documentary reflects a lot about the brand's heritage and how it has been built over the years,” said Pedro Colorado.
