Image Rugama; Bernardo He studied Communication at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Querétaro, Mexico. His first short film La princesa y el caracol (2010) was shown in several Mexican film festivals such as the 9th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM); the 26th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG, in Spanish);and the 6th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico, among others. His second short Purificación (2012) was part of the Official Selection of the 10th FICM. His short film Magic Show was part of the 13th FICM's Official Selection. His short film Heartbreak Motel (2016) is part of the Official Selection of the 14th FICM. In 2017, his short film Duele, is part of the Mexican Short Film Section in the fiction category Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. This is an erratic film that invites us to reimagine the complex relationship we have with the constructed “mexicanidad.” See More Ziuta travesías Ziuta, a Polish Jewish survivor of World War II, was an extraordinary woman who sparked special devotion for her political commitment and her support for clandestine struggle. As a teenager, Ziuta weathered exile with fortitude and determination, saving her mother and other relatives from perishing in their flight. With a Super-8 camera that once belonged to his father and has remained untouched for 41 years, he plans to retrace the path of the shepherd: the journey of transhumance that his grandfather undertook in his youth, following now-forgotten coordinates.
