Image Ros; Diego Before going into writing and directing, Diego held a long career as an editor and post producer, participating in a wide range of projects, from Mexican telenovelas and high end commercial TV spots, to independent dramatic features and documentary shorts. Although he wishes he had gone into directing sooner, these experiences were very helpful when making his own movie. Working from a grant by the Mexican Film Institute, The Night Guard is Diego’s first effort as writer, director and producer. It received Best Film and Best Actor awards at the Morelia International Film Festival in 2016 and more recently the World Fiction Award for Best International Film at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
