Juan, awarded at the French Riviera Film Festival in Cannes and at the PopCon International Film Festival in Indianapolis for his short film N.O.R.A, has been recipient two times of the Apoyo a la producción y postproducción de cortometrajes scholarship, granted by the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (FOCINE), in 2021 and 2022. He was also selected in 2023 by Cine Qua Non Lab to participate in their workshop Líneas Argumentales with his film Hasta Luego. His short film Dos Veces Navidad was selected by NBC Universal and the Los Cabos International Film Festival, and was part of the Studio Universal program.
