Image Fernández, León He studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. He is a sculptor and animator, and founder of Humanimalia Studio, a company dedicated to the manufacture of puppets for stop-motion animation. He has participated in more than 30 festivals around the world with his short film Mutatio (2011), among them, the 9th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He won, for this work, the Rigo Mora Award at the 26th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG); A Special Jury Prize at the 33rd International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, Havana, Cuba; and Best Animation at the 5th Crown Fastnet Short Film Festival, Ireland, among others. His short film Taller de corazones (2016) was part of the Official Selection of the 14th FICM, winning the best short animation.
