He received a professional certificate in entertainment media management from New York University (NYU) and a Master of Fine Arts in film and media arts from Temple University, Philadelphia. He participated with his first documentary feature Dolor crónico (2008) in the 5th Mexico City International Contemporary Film Festival (FICCO) and the 11th Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI), Argentina. His second documentary feature Los años de fierro (2013) was part of the Official Selection of the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and also participated in the 16th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (TDF), Greece, and the 29th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), Mexico.
