This program is comprised of five titles of the spectacular season of film and television created by the British Film Institute (BFI), called “Days of Fear and Wonder.” The selection of masterpieces to be exhibited in Morelia will present the public dystopian visions of a war-torn future; imagined consequences of a nuclear bomb; sublime trips to outer space and even the story of an alien played by David Bowie. The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961) by Val Guest 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Stanley Kubrick The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) by Nicolas Roeg Blade Runner: The Final Cut (1982) by Ridley Scott The program is an opportunity to see emblematic films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Blade Runner on the big screen and enjoy them in all their splendor, as well as become familiar with lesser-known titles of the genre. It is with great enthusiasm that FICM enriches this edition with programs of British science fiction, which was made possible thanks to the British Council, the BFI and “Days of Fear and Wonder.”
