07 · 27 · 05 Miranda July is awarded Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard Clara Sánchez On Friday, May 20th the Morelia International Film Festival hosted a gala cocktail party at Cannes’ Kodak Pavilion to honor the winners of the 44th International Critics’ Week. During the celebration, Miranda July, director of Me and You and Everyone We Know, and winner of the prestigious Critics’ Week Grand Prix, received 5000 Euros as part of the Special Cinépolis Prize. The award was presented by Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas and by Daniela Michel, Vice-President and General Director of the Morelia International Film Festival, both acting as representatives of Alejandro Ramírez, Assistant Director-General of Cinépolis. Me and You and Everyone We Know, July’s first feature film and winner of the Caméra d´or award at Cannes, will be shown at the 3rd Morelia International Film Festival (October 8th-16th, 2005) as part of the International Critics’ Week Official Selection.
