Una familia de tantas

Gregorio, a bus driver and amateur baseball player, meets Kitty at a party and leaves his pregnant wife Cholita. When Cholita moves in with Constantino Reyes Regalito and his wife La Bicha, they start a taco stand together. Later, Kitty and Gregorio get into an accident that lands him in jail and leaves her disfigured. Once released, a remorseful Gregorio reconciles with Cholita, who has managed to survive and prosper.

Fleeing the law, Mexican worker Rafael Améndola crosses into the US with the help of Frank Mendoza, the partner of an American named Mr. Sterling, who gives work to illegal migrants. Once settled on the other side, Rafael struggles to adapt to his new life.

In the village of Santa Fe, in 19th-century Mexico, the arrival of young liberal agronomist Pepe Rey sparks hostilities among the conservative townspeople. Pepe stays with his aunt Perfecta, a puritanical lady who doesn’t share her nephew’s liberal views. When romance blossoms between him and his cousin Rosario, Doña Perfecta will be forced to take drastic measures.
