Cigarettes and Coffee

Three days after the terrorist attack on the offices of Parisian weekly Charlie Hebdo, and forty days after the death of his father, Lary, a doctor in his forties is about to spend Saturday at a family gathering to commemorate his deceased father. But the occasion does not go according to expectations. Forced to confront his fears and his past, and to rethink the place he holds within the family, Lary is left with no choice but to tell the truth. 

Ovidiu has the opportunity to earn an impressive amount of money for an apparently simple job. He has to deliver a package to a specific address in Bucharest. Convinced at first that he has sold only his services, Ovidiu will later understand that he has in fact sold his soul.

It’s Saturday evening. Mr. Lazarescu doesn’t feel too well so he calls an ambulance. While waiting for the paramedics to arrive, he decides to take some of his own medicine. As time goes by, what looked like a headache turns out to be a much more serious condition.
