Ulises is a fisherman’s daily struggle to satisfy his hunger. It also offers a vision of the mermaids associated with the forces of death: dangerous animals who rule the seas with their enchanting voices. If they hypnotize you with their calls, they will devour you alive. Ulises portrays men’s obsessive battle with Mother Nature: a fight to the death between humanity and fantasy.
