The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu shows that it is possible to use only existing images to make films focusing on recent history, yet with an epic vein similar to that of historical fiction cinema. The viewer soon realizes that the film utilizes footage taken from official archives and private videos of the Romanian president, accompanied by a fictious monologue.
