A short documentary on the Vocal Vidas, a unique and previously little-known female a cappella quartet from Santiago de Cuba—the cradle of Afro-Cuban music—who won the 2016 Cubadisco Award for best vocal group. The film follows these four women, exploring their daily lives, illustrating their artistic process, and offering a unique window onto the experience of building a music career in a communist country.
