African Blood It has been assumed that Mexican identity is the result of the mixture of indigenous and European culture only. However, this assumption leaves one fundamental element out: African roots. This documentary brings us closer to the black heritage of Oaxaca and Guerrero.

Large Hands tells the story of Huemac Olivares, who owes his two trades, as musician and craftsman, to a unique instrument made from the inflorescence of the maguey (quiote). This instrument is also a metaphor for the life of its creator, who undergoes a transformation as a result of an incident.
