2007 | Color | 2h 01 A happily married couple strikes up an unlikely friendship with a man whose life has been marked by chaos and violence. Alex is a small-time criminal who after a stint in prison finds himself working for Konecny, a pimp who runs a grimy brothel. Wanting to make some quick cash, Alex robs a bank in a nearby small town and hides out in a farm owned by his grandfather. As a teenager, Ziuta weathered exile with fortitude and determination, saving her mother and other relatives from perishing in their flight.
