Night and Fog

In Paris, six characters get caught in a romantic and social confusing situation, and multiple misunderstandings will force them to face their own truth.

Thierry is a real estate agent doing the impossible to find an apartment for Nicole and Dan. Dan is a former soldier who finds refuge in alcohol; Nicole does not know how to reach out to him. Gaëlle, Thierry’s younger sister, seeks love desperately. Thierry falls in love with Charlotte, his partner at the real estate agency. Lionel takes care of his sick father all day and works as a bartender until Charlotte volunteers to take care of his father in the mornings.

Twelve years after the discovery of the Nazi concentration camps, Alain Resnais films in the deserted camp of Auschwitz. The green grass grows at the same time that black and white photographs taken in 1944, reconstruct the tragedy of thousands of people.
