Conversations à Rechlin Based on the novel Chemin Venel by Martine Chevalier, the film combines music and dance to tell the story of Nelly, the daughter of a respected Geneva family who pursues her career as a singer while raising her daughter. During a tour of Budapest, the Gestapo arrests her loyal accompanist, Marcelle. Nelly decides to follow her, and both are sent to the labor camp at Rechlin. There, Marcelle?s mental and physical health deteriorates rapidly. Nelly asks to meet with the new commander of the camp in order to improve the conditions for her pianist. The man is a music lover.
