On the Mountain

Samuel Noyola, the most inspired poet of his generation, disappeared leaving behind a series of traces of his obsessive lifestyle as an artist, guerrilla and tramp. The traces guide a search, both personal and frantic, for a mysterious character at the end of the twentieth century.

Mauricio Fernández is the polemical mayor of San Pedro Garza García, the wealthiest and safest municipality in Latin America. He presents himself as an active leader who is capable of keeping his municipality "free" of the drug cartels' presence, without questioning the methods he uses to achieve this. The mayor describes the wild times of a country marked by violence and the complete discredit of the ruling class.
