State of Colima, West of Mexico. Under the pretext of imminent danger, the people of the community La Yerbabuena, settled at the foot of the Volcán de Fuego, were relocated to increase the tourist business in the area. Despite the pressures, some families decided to stay in their land and resist.

The Indigenous Mayo peoples live in Mexico´s northwestern states, Sonora and Sinaloa. After working their own land, the Mayos have been forced to become the land owners employees. Many members of the Mayo tribe see the need for radical change: these ideas are akin to those of the Alternative Campaign.
