Victoria is forced to live temporarily at her grandmother’s house so that her grandmother can take care of her mother’s pregnancy. Inés, Victoria’s older sister, takes on the role of interim mother, but her care decreases as time goes on. Victoria has to deal with her grandmother’s prohibitions, an unaffectionate sister, an unborn brother who wants to usurp her place and a fantastic story that turns out to be the solution to her problem.

A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. This is an erratic film that invites us to reimagine the complex relationship we have with the constructed “mexicanidad.”
