Lorenzo Vigas Castes (Venezuela, 1967). His debut feature, Desde allá (From Afar), won the Golden Lion at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival, making him the first Latin American director to attain this prestigious award. The Orchid Seller is about his father, the master artist Oswaldo Vigas.
