Young Ahmed

Teenage Rosetta shouts and fights in the halls of the factory where she has been fired without explanation. She lives in a caravan with her alcoholic mother on the outskirts of Liège. Refusing any kind of charity, she roams the city, desperately searching for a job. Rosetta is consumed by her fear of disappearing, by the shame of not belonging. She wants a normal life.

Sandra has only one weekend to visit her colleagues and convince them—with her husband’s help—to sacrifice their bonuses so that she can keep her job.

In present-day Belgium, the fate of 13-year-old Ahmed is caught between his imam’s ideals of purity and life’s temptations.
