2015 | Color | 107:00 October 1944, Auschwitz-Birkenau. Saul Ausländer is a member of the Sonderkommando, a group of Jewish prisoners forced to collaborate with the Nazis. While working in one of the crematoriums, Saul discovers the corpse of a boy and imagines that it is his own son. As his fellows prepare a plan to revolt, Saul has another aim in mind: to recover the child’s body, find a rabbi, and provide the boy with a proper burial.
