Roxanne Coss, a famous American soprano, travels to South America to give a private concert in honor of an influential Japanese businessman. But the festivities are suddenly interrupted with the arrival of a guerrilla group, who demand the release of their imprisoned comrades. Threats ensue, lives are lost, and the kidnapping stretches on for many days as unexpected bonds are forged.
