Ávia is an intimate documentary that chronicles the life of Montserrat Gispert Cruelles, who experienced exile from Barcelona during the Spanish Civil War and resettled in Mexico in 1941 at the age of seven. Directed by her grandson, Rodrigo Ímaz, the film explores Montserrat’s pivotal moments and personal challenges, offering an emotional and authentic portrayal of her legacy amid the turbulence of the 20th century.
