Awards for Cannes Film Festival 2010

In the Un Certain Regard section, the Jury Prize went to Peruvian directors Daniel Vega and Diego Vega for Octubre, while actresses Eva Bianco, Victoria Raposo and Adela Sánchez won the best actress award in Los Labios, by Argentine director Santiago Loza and Iván Fund.

Without a doubt, Javier Bardem was the favorite to receive the prize for best actor in Biutiful by Alejandro González Iñárritu. Bardem plays Uxbel, a tormented man expected to die soon who tries to settle many unresolved matters as well as assure a future for his two small children.
