Pablo Berger Unveiled His Armchair and Presented ROBOT DREAMS with Yuko Harami During a Free Screening at the 23rd FICM

To the sound of cheers and applause from the audience, Pablo Berger and composer Yuko Harami presented their film Robot Dreams at a free outdoor screening during the 23rd Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). The screening was made possible thanks to Axen Energy, a business unit of Axen Capital dedicated to energy transformation. It specializes in the sale, financing, and installation of solar panels and currently works with more than 20 commercial partners throughout the country. Its overall vision is to achieve a healthier, more prosperous, and happier world through clean energy, and its philosophy is: We do not compete, we collaborate.

The director, appointed Knight of Arts and Letters of France, recipient of Spain's Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, and member of the Mexican Feature Film Section jury, said that two years ago, he was invited by the festival to present Robot Dreams at the 21st FICM, but was unable to attend.

Nevertheless, Robot Dreams premiered in Morelia. “The success of Robot Dreams in Mexico was thanks to all of you. The greatest reward Robot Dreams has received is the nearly one million viewers and your affection,” said Pablo Berger. “For me, cinema is daydreaming, and I want you to dream, to have a dream. The film never belongs to the director; it is yours. It is no longer ours.”

During the presentation, he celebrated the fact that the audience brought dog and cat food donations to the screening. These will be given to the GHAPAD shelter (Generando Hogares de Amor para Animales Desprotegidos A.C.) to feed the animals in their care.

Pablo Berger Unveiled Commemorative Armchair

Amazed by the surprise of seeing an armchair with his name emblazoned on it, the director thanked FICM for making him part of this tradition. “I want to sit here and watch you watch the movie.”
