Con su proyecto Monstruo de Xibalbá, obtuvo la Beca Jóvenes Creadores del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA), en 2010. En 2013, participó en el Taller Internacional de Guión Cinematográfico Cine Qua Non Lab (CQNL) con sede en Tzintzuntzán, Michoacán. En el mismo año participó en el Curso de Desarrollo de Proyectos Cinematográficos Iberoamericanos del Programa IBERMEDIA y Fundación Carolina. En 2018, fue seleccionado para el taller de IMCINE y Fundación TyPA para primeras y segundas películas llevado a cabo en Splendor Omnia, Tepoztlán. Su cortometraje Un gesto (2015) formó parte de la Selección Oficial de Cortometraje de los festivales: 13° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (2015), 28° Festival Cinélatino Toulouse (2016) y Shorts México (2016), entre otros. En enero de 2018, filmó en Colombia el cortometraje Sol del llano y co-editó el largometraje El paraíso de la serpiente, del director Bernardo Arellano; ambas películas son parte de la Selección Oficial del XVII Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia.
