Image Hernández; Julián Dirección, Edición, Guión Se especializó en guión y dirección en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas. Su obra ha recorrido numerosos festivales alrededor del mundo, entre ellos, ocho ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Realizador de seis largometrajes, así como de diversos cortometrajes de ficción y documental, en 1996 fundó la Cooperativa Cinematográfica Morelos, hoy Mil Nubes – Cine. Ganador en dos ocasiones del premio Teddy de la Berlinale con su ópera prima Mil nubes de paz (2003), que además obtuvo el premio Mejor Ópera Prima en el 3er Festival Internacional de Cine de Cuenca (FICC), Ecuador; y tres premios Ariel en la 46ª entrega de los premios Ariel, México, y con el largometraje El cielo dividido (2006), participante en el 56º Berlinale, Alemania; ganadora del Premio Guerrero de la Prensa en el 21º FICG, Guadalajara; y de un Premio Especial del Jurado en el 21º Festival de Cine Gay y Lésbico de Torino (TGLFF por sus siglas en inglés), Italia. Entre su trabajo cinematográfico también podemos encontrar cortometrajes de ficción como Vivir (2003), que formó parte de la Selección Oficial del 1er FICM, y el corto Bramadero (2007), Vago rumor de mares en zozobra (2008), La transformación del cine en música (2009), en co-dirección con Roberto Fiesco; y Rabioso sol, rabioso cielo (2008), ganador, éste último, de numerosos premios alrededor del mundo como el Premio Teddy a Mejor Película en el 59º Berlinale, Alemania; Atmósfera (2009), formó parte de la Selección Oficial del 8º FICM y ganó el premio a Mejor Cortometraje en el 1er Rally Malayerba Pro, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo; Por encima del abismo de la desesperación (1996) fue presentado en el marco del 11º FICM, como parte de la retrospectiva del ciclo “50 años del CUEC”. Obtuvo el Premio Encuentro al Mejor Cortometraje en el 1er Festival Internacional de Cine LGBTIQ Asterisco, Buenos Aires, Argentina, por Nubes flotantes (2014). Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
