Ganó el premio a Mejor Cineminuto del concurso “Volvo en un minuto”, en el marco del 10º Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato (GIFF por sus siglas en inglés). Obtuvo, por su ópera prima Acorazado (2009), el Premio del Público en el 8º FICM; Mejor Ópera Prima y Mejor Guión en la 17º Muestra de Cine Latinoamericano de Cataluña, Lérida, España; y una nominación al Ariel a Mejor Guión en la 52ª entrega de los premios Ariel, México. Esta película participó, además, en el 33º Festival Internacional de Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, La Habana, Cuba; en el 26º Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata, Argentina; y en el 20º Festival de Biarritz de Cine y Culturas de América Latina, Francia, entre otros.
