The favor (2006), presentada en el 4° FICM, obtuvo una Mención Especial en el 8° CineVegas Film Festival, Las Vegas, y el premio a Mejor Actor Masculino en el 5° Festival de Cine de San Diego. Con La Santa Muerte (2007), que participó en el 5° FICM, obtuvo el premio a Mejor Largometraje Documental en el el 8° Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de Trieste, Italia. Los ojos azules (2011) formó parte de la Selección Oficial de Largometraje Documental Mexicano en el 9° FICM y se presentó en el NewFilmmakers, Nueva York, 2012. Su largometraje documental Chuy, el hombre lobo (2014) forma parte de la Selección Oficial del 12º FICM. Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. As a teenager, Ziuta weathered exile with fortitude and determination, saving her mother and other relatives from perishing in their flight. With a Super-8 camera that once belonged to his father and has remained untouched for 41 years, he plans to retrace the path of the shepherd: the journey of transhumance that his grandfather undertook in his youth, following now-forgotten coordinates.
