Obtuvo el estímulo del Fondo de Apoyo a las Artes, otorgado por BBVA Bancomer, México, en 2003. Ha participado en dos ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). En el 3er FICM participó con su largometraje documental, en co-dirección con Antonio Zirión y Diego Rivera Kohn, Voces de la guerrero (2004); que recorrió más de diez festivales alrededor del mundo y que ganó, entre otros premios, el Premio SIGNIS a Mejor Documental, una Mención Especial y el Premio Serguei Eisenstein en el 3er Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, México, y el Premio José Rovirosa 2004 de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Participó, entre otras muestras y festivales, en la 6ª Muestra de Documentales y Fotografías de América Latina, España, así como en el 6° Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, con su largometraje documental Memoria en brasas (2006). Su cortometraje de ficción El Ñero’s trip (2007) participó, entre otros, en el 2° Short Shorts Film Festival México (SSFFM), y obtuvo una Mención Honorífica en el 1er Festival de Cine Underground de Sídney (SUFF por sus siglas en inglés). Participó, entre otros, en el 11° FICM y en el 5° BORDOCS Tijuana Foro Documental, con su cortometraje documental Fuera de foco (2013); por el que obtuvo el Premio del Jurado en el 4° Festival Internacional de Cine Social de Concordia (FICSC), Argentina, y el premio a Mejor Documental en el Festival do Filme Etnográfico do Recife (FFER), Brasil. Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
