- PRESS RELEASE -

Morelia, Michoacán, August 29, 2019.

No one Left Behind, directed by Guillermo Arriaga, will have a

special screening at the 17th FICM

No one Left Behind, the most recent film by director, producer and writer Guillermo Arriaga, will have a special screening in the context of the 17th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), which will take place from October 18 to 27.

The film, which will have its international premiere in an out-of-competition screening of the 76th Venice International Film Festival, features the performances of American actor, Danny Huston and Mexicans Jorge A. Jiménez and Isabel Aerenlund.

No one Left Behind tells the story of a group of American soldiers who travel to Mexico for an unknown mission and encounter a surprising world that changes their perspectives.

In this work, Guillermo Arriaga captures a human vision regarding the relations that are woven between Mexico and the United States, particularly within families of Mexican origin who face the loss of young people enlisted and fallen in combat.

The movie was filmed in Zaragoza, Coahuila, in collaboration with inhabitants of this locality.

Guillermo Arriaga has been a guest at the FICM on three occasions: in 2004; in 2005, to present Los tres entierros de Melquiades Estrada by Tommy Lee Jones, a film of which he was a screenwriter; and in 2008 when he presented his feature film Lejos de la tierra quemada with Jennifer Lawrence.
