Directors Cristian Mungiu, winner of the Palm d’Or at Cannes for his film 4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days attended the ceremony, as did guests of honor Nicolas Philibert and Christophe Barratier. Steven Soderbergh, whose film Ché, The Argentine opened today at the festival, also was in attendance. The filmmakers were accompanied by FCIM president Alejandro Ramírez; FCIM general director Daniela Michel and FICM vice president Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Batel, who thanked the filmmakers for attending the festival, as well as the press for their help in covering the activities.
