Every situation is different, and the people you know and work with are never the same,” Fitzgerald said in an interview. The producer also added that he had originally wanted to be a screenwriter, but no one would finance his scripts. “It would really help if you could make young producers understand what production really is: not what they think it is or what they would like it to be. Young people act in a way that people my age never would, that’s their nature. The problems begin when teachers want to stop them from making mistakes. You have to let them learn things on their own, even if you know they are doing something stupid,” added Fitzgerald, who also produced The Pledge.
