Was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1975. He studied at the University of Cinema (1993-1996). He then worked as an assistant in Muestra Contracampo within the International Film Festival of Mar del Plata. In 1995 co-directed the short film Dos en la vereda with Catriel Vildosola. He then worked as sound assistant in many short films and some feature films and as assistant director on Sobre la tierra directed by Nicolás Sarquís. In 2001 he wrote, directed and produced his first film, La libertad, which was selected to participate in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes. In 2004, his second film, Los muertos, was presented at the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. Fantasma (2006), his third feature film, as well as his latest film Liverpool (2008) were also presented at the Director’s Fortnight.
