The film, a co-production between Mexico, Denmark, and France, tells the story of Sol, a seven year old girl who spends the day with his grandfather at his house helping him with the preparations for a surprise party for her father. Slowly, everything begins to turn more chaotic, shattering the family's foundations. Naíma Sentíes, Montserrat Marañón, Marisol Gasé, Saori Gurza, Mateo García Elizondo, Teresita Sánchez, Juan Francisco Maldonado, Iazua Larios, and Alberto Amado star in Tótem.
