Rebecca Zlotowski), in which she stars.Acclaimed American actress and director Jodie Foster will return to the 23rd edition of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) to present Vie privée, a film by French director Rebecca Zlotowski in which Foster stars.With a career spanning over 50 years, Jodie Foster is one of the most critically acclaimed actresses of her generation. Her roles in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Taxi Driver, Nell, Contact, Panic Room, and The Brave One have all won her international attention. Foster’s stunning performances in The Accused and The Silence of the Lambs earned her two Academy Awards® for Best Actress, and her role in Nyad earned her most recent nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Last year, Foster’s performance in True Detective: Night Country earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Behind the camera, Foster made her motion picture directorial debut in 1991 with Little Man Tate, in which she also starred. She went on to direct Home for the Holidays, The Beaver, Money Monster, and, more recently, episodes of Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards, Black Mirror, and Tales from the Loop.This is the second time that the Oscar® winner has attended FICM. In 2023, during the 21st edition of the festival, Foster received the Award for Artistic Excellence in recognition of her extraordinary career and valuable contributions to the film industry, as well as the UNAM Film Archive Medal. She also offered an enriching master class to the FICM audience.In Vie privée, Foster plays Lilian Steiner, a renowned psychiatrist who finds out about the death of one of her patients. Deeply shocked and convinced that it was murder, she decides to investigate.#FICM2025 will take place from October 10 to 19 with screenings in Morelia, Michoacan, and virtual screenings via nuestrocine.mx. There will be pre-opening screenings on October 9.
