Impulso Morelia 5 announced its winners

After three days of exclusive screenings presented to an international panel of experts, the fifth edition of Impulso Morelia selected its winners. From October 20 to 22, six projects in different editing and post-production stages were presented in this unique space of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), aimed at facilitating a positive reflection on the proposals, their conclusion, promotion and circulation.

The participating titles were:

  • No lo sé (documentary), by Luis Kelly
  • Se escuchan aullidos (ficción),by Julio Hernández Cordón
  • La vocera (documentary),by Luciana Kaplan
  • Yermo (documentary),by Everardo González
  • Las últimas plumas (fiction),by Alejandro Alatorre

Additionally, this same project will enjoy a promotional campaign for an advertising page in one of the issues of LatAm cinema.com magazine worth USD $1,500, as well as an audio and video editing licence granted by AVID.
The expert panel also decided to give an honorable mention to the project:

Ambulante awarded $50,000 pesos in cash, destined to complete the post-production of a documentary, along with the offer to include it in a future edition of the Ambulante Documentaries Tour to:

The recipient of the Churubusco Azteca Studies support, consisting of $800,000 pesos in post-production and THX sound services (not including materials, operator fees or Dolby license, and valid for two years) is:

The support given by the prestigious Splendor Omnia Studies consisting of a week of sound mixing and one more of color correction, with an approximate value of $200,000 pesos (not including technicians’ fees) was granted to:
