Winners of FICM now in Cartagena

Trazando Aleida by Christiane Burkhard, winner film in the category of Best Documental in the sixth edition of FICM and Siete Instantes by Diana Cardozo, winner of the award Muse for the Best Feature Film made by a woman on the last FICM edition, will be competing in the 49th International Film Festival of Cartagena, which will be held from February 27th to March 7th in Colombia.

Two films from the official selection of the sixth FICM will be competing in the Fiction category: Lake Tahoe by Fernando Eimbcke, who was awarded the Tequila Tradicional recognition for his outstanding cinematographic career and Espiral by Jorge Pérez Solano.

Los Bastardos by Amat Escalante, a film that won the award for Best Feature Film in the last FICM edition and Carlos Cuaron´s Rudo y Cursi, of which the musical video of the sountrack´s song Quiero que me quieras sung by Gael Garcia Bernal was shown last year in FICM, are included in the program of Cine Iberoamericano.

The Cartagena Festival screened during its opening ceremony Ché el Argentino by Steven Soderbergh. This film was shown during the inauguration of the 2008 FICM.
