The FICM reveals the image of its 24th edition

The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) has unveiled the poster for its 24th edition. Designers Rodrigo Toledo-Crow and Jerónimo Toledo Rossell created this image, which features a composition of roses and cinematic elements rendered in a woodcut-style print to celebrate #FICM2026.

The choice of this graphic identity symbolically represents elements linked to Michoacán, such as the Garden of Roses in Morelia’s Historic Center—where attendees, guests, and filmmakers gather during the festival—or the Michoacán maque trays stamped with flowers.

“Flowers, once again, but this time they’re roses. You could say that the Rose Garden—named after the Church of Santa Rosa de Lima—is the nerve center of FICM. It’s right next to Cinépolis Morelia Centro and where all attendees gather. Roses are also a very common motif on Michoacán maque trays,” explains Jerónimo Toledo Rossell.

“The typography in this design is intended to create a strong contrast with the quality of the woodcut. The font we used is Impact—a very bold typeface designed in 1965 by Geoffrey Lee for advertisements and newspaper headlines.”

The 24th Morelia International Film Festival will take place October 16–25 in Morelia, Michoacán.
