FICM Launches Impulso Morelia 9 at Centro Cultural Universitario

Impulso Morelia 9 was officially inaugurated as part of the 21st Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), a space that since 2015 has offered a program of Mexican feature films in different stages of editing and post-production with the aim of generating a constructive dialogue about the proposals and offering them international visibility. Andrea Stavenhagen, head of the project, and Daniela Michel, founder and general director of FICM, were present during the event.

Covarrubias, producer and director committed to the creation and distribution of films with a social and gender perspective, and currently director of production and marketing at Estudios Churubusco Azteca; John Cooper, long-time curator and programmer, director emeritus of the Sundance Film Festival, where he worked for three decades; José Tamez, producer and Salma Hayek's partner in her production company Ventanarosa, where he also serves as president; Ralph McKay, programmer for museums, archives and festivals since 1976 and programming consultant for the Rotterdam International Film Festival since 1996; and Thomas Rosso, Program Manager of the Cannes Critics' Week and director of the Next Step Workshop.
