Pancho Villa: aquí y ahora was premiered in FICM

After the great success of Paco Ignacio Taibo II’s book, Pancho Villa, una biografía narrativa, the channel financed a trip with the Mexican author to find traces of historical material still present in some Mexican cities about the mythical revolutionary figure. The documentary, produced by Anima Films, is two hours long and will be programmed throughout Latin America.

In this journey across 7,000 kilometers, the documentary follows the path that the revolutionary leader took while organizing his army. In Zacatecas, Durango and Chihuahua, Pancho Villa is still alive for thousands of Mexicans who see him as one of the most important figures in Mexican history. This trip is also a glimpse into the past, a tour of the places where Villa fought his most important battles for the 1910 revolutionary movement.
