The film was screened in room five of Cinépolis Centro, where the director and an audience eager to see his work came together. Lost Flowers takes a close exploration of a father's relationship with his son, which Fabrizio Maltese described as "a very intimate, very personal story", before starting the presentation. According to the director, it all started as a way to create a memory of his life and, after showing it to his editor, he convinced Maltese to turn it into a movie. Fabrizio Maltese The documentary is made up of footage filmed by the director's father. His family memories are interspersed with images of the health pandemic that was already beginning to change life in Luxembourg, where Maltese lives, and in Italy, where his family lives. FICM is the third festival where the documentary has been presented. It was previously screened at the 2021 Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and the 2021 Transylvania International Film Festival.
