The program aims to promote understanding and respect for diversity that has historically been made invisible in different social, cultural and political arenas, through stories that help us understand the complexity of human identity and break social prejudice, to recognize and promote people's rights. In a free showing, the audience will witness new film proposals, in the shape of stories and documentaries, that convey the longing for freedom and happiness of its protagonists in a world that questions, ignores and judges. At the end, the audience can vote for their favorite short film and the winner will be awarded at the closing ceremony of this fourteenth edition. This exceptional opportunity will open new doors of understanding, and will be complemented by a session of questions and answers with the filmmakers to discuss the issues presented in the program and how they, through film, contribute to expanding the vision of what seems different and open the possibility of seeing the differences as an unequivocal sign of wealth. FICM honors the LGBT community by presenting this special program that finds problems but also offers possible solutions through a lens that looks to a heterogeneous humanity in their sexuality and gender identity with equality. They are shorts that question. Stories that illuminate. Universes that are played through diversity. FICM and CONAPRED recognize diversity and promote inclusion. What was hidden will now be viewed on the big screen. Prior to the showing on Sunday October 23 at 18:30, MIRA, an Awareness Film Festival by the Cinépolis Foundation will be presented with the presence of its director, Lorena Guillé, who aims to bring audiences to connect realities, generating reflection and contributing with humanism to social welfare.
