"It makes us very proud, very happy, to continue this dialogue thanks to the very kind participation of the Embassy of the United States, which directed us to a program that supports these initiatives with funds," said Daniela Michel, founder and Director of FICM, who was also present at the screening.

“This year marks the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and the United States, and under the mantle of the bicentennial I am very pleased that we can also talk about beautiful things; that through cinema ties between Mexico and the United States can be strengthened,” added Elizabeth Andion.

With the Indigenous Peoples Forum, the festival reaffirms its commitment to distributing and creating spaces for indigenous filmmakers in our country.

The workshop was also attended by the directors, producers, and actresses Ángeles Cruz and Luna Marán.
