This documentary reunites a group of exprisioneros to recreate the Al-Moskobiya, main center of interrogations of Israel, where Raed Andoni, director of the documentary, was imprisoned at age 18. A blacksmith, an architect, and an assistant director shape their memories of how they survived. Dieter Kosslick. In addition to the director of the Berlinale, Daniela Michel, director of FICM, was also present. Dieter Kosslick warned that it is the first time, in his almost 20 years presenting films at the Berlinale, that he does not want the audience to enjoy the film. "I do not like it. We live in a world where human beings hurt each other in many ways, but the worst of all is torture. There are thousands of human beings today being tortured as the Catholic Church did in past centuries. Such was the case of the director Raed Andoni, who recreates the torture he suffered in Al-Moskobiya, to exorcize the ghost of torture. " Daniela Michel shared her experience as judge of the last edition of the Berlinale in the newly opened documentary section. "I commend Dieter Kosslick for including this section as the Berlin Festival has always been at the forefront and documentary film is still gaining prominence around the world. I had the honor of being part of the jury and this is the winning film." Finally, Dieter Kosslick added: "Film, indeed, is a window to the world, but the documentary is an even bigger window."
