Aaron Eckhart will attend the 14th FICM to present Clint Eastwood's Sully

The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) is pleased to announce that the renowned actor Aaron Eckhart will visit Morelia to present his most recent work, Sully (2016), a new film from director Clint Eastwood filmed entirely in IMAX format and opening in theaters the 2nd of December.

A theater student graduated from Brigham Young University in Utah, United States, Eckhart began his career under the direction of Neil LaBute in the film In the Company of Men (1997), for which he was awarded a Golden Satellite Award by the International Press Academy and the Film Independent's Independent Spirit Award.

He gained international fame for his outstanding performance in the film Erin Brockovich (2000), by Steven Soderbergh, where he shared credits with Julia Roberts. Since then, Aaron Eckhart has worked with directors like Oliver Stone, Any Given Sunday (1999); Sean Penn, The Pledge (2001); Ron Howard, The Missing (2003); Brian de Palma, The Black Dahlia (2006); and Christopher Nolan, Batman: The Dark Knight (2008) among others.

With its debut at the Telluride Film Festival and based on the book by the same name, Clint Eastwood's Sully (2016) tells the story of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) and co-pilot Jeff Skiles (Aaron Eckhart), who, in a historic move, landed his plane on the Hudson river, saving the lives of all 155 people on board.

Sully (2016) brings together several of Eastwood's usual collaborators: director of photography Tom Stern; production designer James J. Murakami, an Oscar nominee for his work in The Changeling; costume designer Deborah Hopper and the editor, Blu Murray. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
